Cookies on this site

This page describes what may be stored in your browser when you visit icreekside.com, and who stores it.

Cookies set by this site

icreekside.com does not set advertising or profiling cookies of its own. Nothing is placed in your browser here for the purpose of tracking you across other sites or building a profile of your interests.

This site runs on WordPress. WordPress may set a cookie if you leave a comment or sign in. These cookies exist to make those two actions work — to remember the details you typed into a comment form, and to keep a signed-in session. If you only read pages, and never comment or sign in, there is no reason for such a cookie to appear.

Third parties

Some of what a page needs is fetched from other companies’ servers. When that happens, those companies see the request your browser makes.

  • Google Fonts — serves the typefaces this site uses; your IP address reaches Google when a font loads.
Google’s own description of this service is published at
    fonts.google.com.
  • The hosting provider — may add its own analytics or performance script to pages it serves.
This is added at the server level rather than by the site’s own code, so it is not something described in detail here.

Your control

Your browser settings control cookies; blocking them does not stop you reading this site. The pages here are text and images, and they are readable whether or not anything is stored. The only consequence is that functions which depend on a stored cookie — leaving a comment, staying signed in — rely on that cookie being allowed.

What this page does not cover

This page states what is set and by whom. It does not advise on how to change any particular browser’s settings, because that has not been tested here and would be guesswork. It also does not speak for Google or for the hosting provider beyond the two points listed above; what those companies do with a request once it reaches them is set out in their own documents, not in this one.

If the list above changes, this page is where the change will be recorded.
